This saw really outdid my expectations. Was easy to assemble (just had to add the bar and chain out of the box). Pleasantly surprised that they included a service kit, tool kit, ear protection, eye protection and additional rip cord with machine. Had an 135 year old 8¡êa10?¨¬ circumference Oak fall during recent wind storms and this saw cut thru the solid trunk like butter. Initial start up was extremely easy and subsequent start ups only took one pull. Haven¡êat even fully broken in the saw yet and it is extremely powerful can¡êat wait until it¡êas at its peak capacity.

I ordered a MS881.The saw arrived exactly to the minute as promised WOW! Now to the saw, It started on the 4th pull out of the box and went through a few starts and stops to allow all the internal parts to seat before putting the engine under load . Once I had done that I moved on to cutting some wood for a few minutes. The saw cut great. I am very impressed with power it has and nice to handle. And the tool kit is top notch !!!

Went and cut a bunch of oak back to back with friends who run husky?¡¥s and stihls and it beat the husky and was comparable to the stihl. Only thing I recommend is getting a better sharper chain than what it comes with, although for occasional use stock chain performs just fine.

Whoa! This is a machine. Haven¡êat found a wood to hard to cut. Put it in place and hold on it blows right through a log under its own weight. Use quality fuel and there will be no problem starting. Biggest problem I¡êave had is running out of wood.

I bought this saw to replace my 661. This thing makes my 661 look like an old 290 farm boss when it comes to ripping thru the big logs. Don¡¯t get me wrong the 661 is a beast but this thing is a whole different animal. The only con is it is a lot heavier but that is the price you pay to have this kind of power. My only regret is not buying one sooner!

I bought this saw for cutting stumps and bigger wood. I don¡êat have any other saw to compare it to in this size but I can compare to my 661. I bought this saw with a 48?¨¬ bar, so it should do whatever I need it to. When I first fired this saw up, I could tell it was gonna be a whole different animal than the 661. The sound is much lower and more of a rumble than the 661. The 881 sounds like a big dirt bike. It¡êas first day on the job was stumping and ripping some 42?¨¬ ash stumps. The saw pulls you into the cut and it melted through that ash like butter when stumping. Then I did the ripping sections and it still didn¡êat bog down, it just tore through it. It has way more power than the 661 and it¡êas not even close. The 881 is way stronger on big wood than the 661, so it¡êall save a lot of time. The only downside is that it¡êas heavy, but the power is a trade off for that weight.
