The biggest Airwolf from VARIO is a 1050 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with turbine or electric propulsion. There are no limits to your imagination when building this model! The model incorporates GRP technology which substantially shortens the required building time. The 2.5 l fueltank – itself a GRP moulding – doubles up as a support for the undercarriage.
AIRWOLF 1:5 – Fuselage kit
These scale kits house the cockpit in precisely the right location and the mechanics are built into the engine compartment just like in the full scale version. The Airwolf really impresses with the highly detailed and accurately scaled down profile.
The turbine version fascinates by the smell of kerosene, a gently starting rotor, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a turbine. Until the electrical power revolution in radio controlled model construction, turbines were the most powerful drives. In terms of flight times, turbines are still superior to electro-flight.
Electric Mechanics 1002/77
Our propulsion recommendation for this helicopter! Contemporary mechanics, especially designed for the scale model electric flight. The mounting points in the fuselage are identical to those of the turbine mechanics Ord.No. 1002/67. Therefore, the mechanics can be used in almost all kits that also fit these VARIO turbine mechanics with lower turbine position (in this case Ord.No. 2004). Electric motors are quiet, low in vibration, without exhaust gases and residual thrust. The blade slap noise sound of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of propulsion and the result is a true-to-life impression in flight. For this electromechanical system we offer a drive set for 12S LiPos.
